Residential consultancy

The back up provided by the current office network allows coverage of the most buoyant sectors of the Scottish Residential market. Barr Brady Ltd undertakes on a daily basis, inspection and valuation of all types of residential properties for private clients and major Banks and Building Societies, etc. All Barr Brady Ltd reports are acceptable to the majority of the major mortgage lenders operating within our area.

Barr Brady Ltd is able to carry out various types of instruction including basic mortgage valuations, pre-sale valuation advice, taxation/inheritance tax valuation, home buyers and more detailed survey and valuation inspections as per RICS Guidelines, building surveys, etc. For larger or more complex properties it is often of value to discuss requirements direct with one of the directors or surveyors of the firm prior to instruction.

The Housing Consultancy Department undertakes complex development briefs and funding valuations for a large number of Registered Social Landlords including Housing Association and Housing Co-operatives. Being on the main clearing Banks Panel of Valuers also ensures that these valuations can be used in support of private finance funding requirements. The Department also provides pre-development advice and valuations on both land and proposed housing.
